Heat Experience – FAQ for Heated Clothing

Here you’ll find answers to the most frequently asked questions about Heat Experience’s battery-powered heated clothing.
This FAQ covers everything from pre-purchase considerations to practical use and maintenance.

The garments have built-in heating elements powered by rechargeable batteries. These elements are strategically placed for maximum heating efficiency and can be adjusted via a button on the garment or a mobile app on certain products.

Vests and Jackets
Clothing comes with either a 5,000 mAh or 10,000 mAh power bank.
Maximum heating time varies from 5 to 10 hours, depending on the power bank included and the heating system type.

User manuals for each garment can be found here

Gloves and Mittens
On the lowest heat setting, the heating time is approx. 5 hours; on the highest, approx. 2 hours.

Socks
Approx. 8 hours on the lowest setting, 4 hours on the highest.

Insoles
Approx. 10 hours on the lowest setting, 3 hours on the highest.

* Battery life and perceived temperature can vary depending on conditions. Outdoor temperatures often feel colder due to heat loss. Cold batteries have reduced performance.

The garments have a button to easily adjust heat levels, indicated by LED lights. Some products also offer remote control or app-based adjustments.

Charging time is typically 4–6 hours, depending on the charger used. Most garments with a power bank come with a charging cable, but not a charger. We recommend a charger that provides at least 2A (amperes).

Jackets and vests with USB connections are compatible with other power banks. However, socks with USB-C connections require the original power bank, as it is designed to regulate the socks’ heating. Refer to the product manual for specifics.

Cold can temporarily reduce battery performance. Store batteries in a warm place when not in use, such as an inner pocket. Ensure the battery is at room temperature before use. Never expose the battery to high heat.

Warm the battery gradually at room temperature before use. Do not charge a cold battery directly. Never place the battery near a heater or other heat source to warm it.

The heating wires are designed to be flexible and durable. Physical damage may impair their function and could cause "hot spots." If this occurs, stop using the product and contact customer service. Check the manual for more details.

Clothing items like socks, gloves, and jackets can handle moisture but should not be used if the battery or connector is wet. Insoles can withstand some moisture but must not get soaked, as their battery is integrated.

Make sure both the heating system connector and battery/power bank are 100% dry before use.

Refer to the manual for correct washing and care instructions.

The package includes:

  • The product
  • Rechargeable batteries (heated insoles have built-in batteries) *
  • Charging cable
  • User manual

*Spare socks are sold without batteries and remote control.

If the product comes with a charging cable only, you can use a wall charger with a minimum output of 2A (amps). A charger with higher amperage will allow faster charging. For safe use, we recommend a CE-certified charger of good quality.

Yes, the insoles can be trimmed to fit most shoes. Heated insoles may require more space than regular insoles, so one size larger shoes may be necessary. Use the size guide for the best fit.

Download the app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Search for “HeatX” and follow the installation instructions.

App Store Google Play

No, most products work without the app. The app is only required for models with app-controlled temperature features.

Contact the retailer where you purchased your Heat Experience product. They will help with troubleshooting or warranty issues.

  • Make sure the battery is properly connected and fully charged.
  • Hold the power button for about 3 seconds.
  • Try swapping batteries (socks, gloves, etc.).
  • Test a different power source/power bank.
  • Try a different charger/cable.
If the problem persists, contact the retailer.
Be sure to include a copy of your receipt or invoice.
  • Charge the power bank regularly (every 2–3 months during storage).
  • Avoid deep discharge, as it can permanently damage battery cells.
  • Store at 50–80% charge.
  • Charge after each use; do not leave it fully discharged.
  • Avoid frequent full discharges.
  • Never charge unattended.
  • Never charge or use a swollen/damaged battery.
  • Do not charge with wet contacts.

Battery capacity naturally declines over time. Regular charging and storing in a cool, dry place will help prolong battery life. Heavily used batteries will degrade faster.

Extra batteries and chargers are available in the "Accessories" section on the Heat Experience online store.

Yes, they are designed for cold conditions, but battery performance may drop. Keep batteries warm when not in use.

  • Make sure garments are clean and dry.
  • Charge batteries to 50–80% and store them in a cool, dry place.
  • Don’t store batteries fully discharged.

There is a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse.

  • Read the user manual before use.
  • Never charge batteries unattended.
  • Chargers are not approved for outdoor use.
  • Damaged batteries must not be used.

Products have built-in protection against overheating and short circuits. Batteries are thoroughly safety tested. All batteries and power banks undergo 100% quality control and are certified according to European standards. All garments (except gloves and mittens) must pass a machine wash test at 40°C minimum to be approved.

Check the battery and connection. Remove any obstacles between the remote and the product. Follow the re-pairing instructions in the user manual.

Most products are weather-resistant, but batteries and connectors should not come into direct contact with water or snow. If they do get wet, do not use them until they are completely dry.

Check the connection and try another outlet. The charger should deliver at least 2A. If the issue persists, contact your retailer.

Note: sock batteries have USB-C input and output marked "in" and "out."
The charger should show a red light when charging.

The size guide is available on the product page on the website. For gloves and insoles, accurate hand or foot measurement is recommended.
